Presentation – Traffic Issues and Solutions - Wednesday May 16th
Last year a group of concerned parishioners raised the issue of speeding through the village and their concerns for the safety of pedestrians walking along the High Street, especially at busy times such as school opening and closing times. Widespread concern over speeding in the High Street and Wattisham Road was also highlighted in the Parish Plan of 2008.
As a measure of this concern a petition was organised which, in turn, resulted in Bildeston Parish Council setting up the “Bildeston Traffic Calming - Working Party” under the guidance of Robert Lindsay.

The working party will be presenting its findings to the Parish on Wednesday May 16th, in the Chamberlin Hall, Bildeston 4pm – 8pm. However, in advance of sharing and consulting with the Parish, we are publishing some background and summarised information to allow Parishioners to get an insight in to the issues and potential solutions that we will be sharing at the meeting.
